FF Squad is a diverse group of Honda enthusiasts from the San Gabriel Valley, California. Their love for speed has matured from wreckless street drag-racing into competitive road-racing at regulated high-performance track events.
Amongst the Honda tuner community, FF Squad is considered to be the original trendsetter of function over form. These guys ARE NOT The Fast and The Furious; no bright paint and absent-minded tribal decals. No wild lights and Matrix-like dashboards. Their styles are clean, classic, and original.
The FF Squad video series is a passion project for Dinh. He single-handedly shot, directed, and edited each of these pieces. It's a task that's daunting for some, but a true pleasure for him. He recalls when the guys are racing on the track there could be as many as 12 cameras rolling simultaneously: from GoPros to Sony on-boards, to handheld Canon 5Ds and other various systems.
Can you imagine having to manage and transcode all that media on a tiny MacBook? The Squad's fellow racing friend Jared Reyes hand-built some stealthy camera mounts for which Dinh used to place small-sized chase cameras on the rear of the cars.
